What is Body Control Pilates?

It's a form of exercise that works differently to other fitness regimes. By focusing on the deep postural muscles - the core muscles that support your body - it builds strength from the inside out.

This results in an improved posture and helps the body to move more effectively. At the same time, it creates a shape that is longer, leaner and more toned.

Gently demanding

Body Control Pilates can be as gentle or as demanding as the individual desires, while still being extremely effective. The regime teaches you to be in complete control of your body, allowing you to handle stress more effectively and achieve relaxation more easily.

Who is it for?

It's for absolutely anybody who wishes to improve their fitness, posture or appearance. It's already part of many professional and Olympic athletes' exercise regimes but is equally good for those recovering from injury, or first-time exercisers. Its slow, controlled approach makes Body Control Pilates especially beneficial to those who may have experienced back or hip problems. It is also known to help MS and ME sufferers. I also work closely with clients who have suffered from strokes, heart and other medical conditions.
